Zaki with ZamalekWigan manager Steve Bruce is trying to tie up a deal for Egyptian striker Amr Zaki.
Bruce had a £4.1m bid for the striker turned down in January but was in Egypt over the weekend to watch Zaki, 25.

However, his agent Mohamed Sayed said: 'Wigan is a mediocre team in the Premier League, but it's a perfect destination for Zaki as he could draw the attention of bigger clubs later.'
