Young gives Boro backing to Mido

Middlesbrough defender Luke Young believes striker Mido has already had a massive impact at The Riverside and has backed the hit-man to combine with fellow new boy Tuncay Sanli to devastating effect.
Young, who arrived in the North East over the summer himself, is sure the
Egyptian striker and Tuncay will help turn Boro’s season around after a poor start for Gareth Southgate’s team

which sees them currently lying in 15th spot.
"I think they'll come up with goals," said Young of the front pair.
"When
Mido first came in, he had a big impact straight away and he seemed to settle in quickly. He scored at Fulham and here against Newcastle and played really well, [but] then unfortunately he got injured.
"But I think, in the games he's played, he's shown he really means business. The manager was going to take him off with an injury against Sunderland here, but he wanted to give it a bit longer.
"Perhaps he might have done himself a bit more damage, but he showed he wanted to stay on the pitch and fight for the cause, and I think he has made a massive impact in a short space of time."
The former Charlton and Tottenham full back also believes Turkey international Tuncay will provide the perfect counterpart for
Mido.
"I think a big part of Tuncay's game will be assists,” added Young.
“He looks like the striker who will drop off a main front-man and get into holes to make himself difficult for defenders to pick up.
"He plays wide midfield as well. I think he has a great record for Turkey and once he's fit he will be a real bonus for us."
