MIDO looks set to miss out on the chance of a reunion with his old Spurs team-mates on Saturday but Robert Huth has joined fellow defender Emanuel Pogatetz on the road back to full fitness.
Egyptian striker Mido, signed from the White Hart Lane side in the summer for £6m, is struggling with the groin injury that kept him out of last weekend's trip to Manchester United.
Gareth Southgate said this afternoon: "I don't think he'll make this week and we've just got to see how he progresses beyond that."It's important we get him fit and firing and ready to come back into the side and make a big impact."We've got to get him fully fit now rather than playing a game, missing a game and keeping aggravating the injury, so we've decided to take him out for a spell, get him fully fit and up to speed."
